The TRACING TONE screen shows what is being transmitted from the CableSHARK.
15.2 Receive Tone (Receiving Level/Frequency)
The Receive Tone function allows a user to measure incoming signals and provides the level and frequency
of the signal. The transmitting device could be another CableSHARK or a EXFO Auto-TIMS III Transmission
Impairment Measuring Set. The options under the Receive Tone umbrella include Numerical, Graphical, and
RX 3 Tone Slope.
15.2.1 Numerical Level/Frequency
To measure level/frequency numerically, select the VF TESTS option from the CABLE TESTS pop-up menu.
Select RECEIVE TONE from the VF TESTS sub-menu. To continue, press RUN/STOP.
